Tuesday, from Katy

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you know the good news.

I received the final pathology report stating that I have an anaplastic oligodendroglioma in stage 3, instead of stage 4!

This type of tumor responds differently to treatment, which is a good thing.

Praise God!

Dear Katy,
Just today, another friend of your mom and dad's at Tab asked how you were doing. We were walking past the missions board in the church hallway and stopped to look at your picture and pray. I'm very familiar with your work at Neighborhood Ministries and now, more than ever. I admire your faithfulness and faith. You continue in our prayers at Women Alive. "Yet I will continually rejoice in the Lord" and praise Him for the brightness of His light shining through you.
Love and Grace,
Nancy

Hello my dear friend. It's been quite a while since I last saw you in the Arizona Mills parking lot. I just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you. You have touched so many lives around you and I am but one example. I don't think I'll ever forget you being my first work crew boss at Kid's Club so many years ago. I greatly admire your wonderful heart and will continue to pray for you.

Dear Katy:
It's a rainy morning here in Indianapolis and early and very quiet outside. I thought of you and checked your update. Praise God. What great news.
Remember He is with you on your journey and His knowledge is abundant. Stay strong.
Give your family our love,
Fred, Kathy and Alex Ost

Hi Katy,
Tell your mom and dad, Lenny and Amy I said hello. I was writing something for a graduate class when I first heard about the tumor and the surgery. I included it in my writing and my professor said to send you his love. "Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For Thou didst create all things and because of Thy will they existed and were created."
Love,
Jenni Mohr

Katy dear....you and all of your family are in my thoughts many times each day. You are brave and courageous and I am praying for your continued strength and faith. I have shared all of this with a good Christian friend in Seymour, IN so I know that she will be praying for you too. God's hand is on you for sure!

Katy,
Glad to hear that our prayers are being answered. We will keep you in our prayers, as well as in our hearts. You are a wonderful example by walking the walk and talking the talk. But then again, you have always been an inspiration to me...You showed me, whether it was intentional or not, that tough year in the classroom CAN be overcome! Seriously, I have always appreciated your kind & easy going manner, your love of kids, your being a devoted friend,...what an awesome human being. May the Holy Trinity always be beside you and restore you to good health. Thank you for just being you. Have a wonderful and most blessed day.

All My Love,
Pano

Katy-Katy,

Just heard from Katie - WOW! Isn't God GOOD!!! We'll look forward to more exciting updates.

Thought you and your parents might like to see the email message Katie sent out to her friends today (THANKS Patti for making her day!)

Copy of Email from Katie ----- Thanks for all your prayers! Here is the recent update on Katy...fresh from her mommy's (patti reel) mouth... They met with the doctor yesterday who down graded her tumor to an anaplastic oligodendroglioma!

This is great news because the doctors are now saying that it is 60% curable with chemotherapy and radiation! What an answer to prayer...those of you who are parents can only begin to imagine the excitement in Patty's voice!

Please continue to pray for Katy as I'm sure the treatments are going to be a very challenging time. Her family has decided to stay in Phoenix with her indefinetly so she will have their support during this time!

Also, continue to pray that God works miracles and heals her completely!

Thanks again for your prayers. It's amazing to see God's hand in this situation. --katie

Katy-Katy, one more thing...there really are easier ways to get your friends together - you didn’t have to go to this extreme --- I think your just trying to get some new lipstick out of all of this :)

Keep Smiling, We love you!
