Blog Update from Katy

Your love O LORD, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
How priceless is your unfailing love!
Both high and low among men find refuge
in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
you gave them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
Psalm 36:5-9

Today I received my last radiation treatment! I am so thankful to complete this portion of my treatment feeling very well, having some of my hair, and they let me keep my mask:) I will find out how the remnant of the tumor has responded to this treatment when I have my MRI read on June 16. Thank you for taking this journey with me. Thank you for all of the many ways that you have loved my family and helped carry some of the burden at this time.

I will be in Indy for a short time to visit my Grandfather and attend my family reunion. When I return I will see my doctors and get the final word on the rest of my treatment.

Katy, all I can say is praise the Lord. You just radiate (no pun intended!) in that picture on your blog, just like you do in person. Your ability to walk so closely with Christ in the face of difficulty is astounding, especially for a woman so young. It is an encouragement to so many of us to have walked this path with you, even if in such a small way. You're teaching us well, sweet Katy.

Let us know when you're back in town, which I assume will be sometime around the 16th. We'll be waiting in the heat for you. :)
Love and hugs, Vicki King

Hi Katy -

You look beautiful! Your smile is amazing! So glad you are feeling good and round 1 is over!

We are looking forward to seeing you, and the entire clan on Saturday. This is going to be a special day for the family. Like Ashleigh said, I am sure it will be crazy, but a great day to bond together.

Have a safe trip home!

Wow, Katy! You look great in your picture. You look like how I last remembered you, only with longer hair. I look about the same, only with less hair (and more wrinkles). Sper and I both hope and pray that each day our Lord will grant you strength, healing, and a speedy & complete recovery. You're always in our thoughts and always in our prayers. My sentence is almost over...I'll be free in 12 more days...Sperry's got lots of stuff for me to do, like painting the outside of our house during the summer...I can't wait to go back to work so I can relax...

You're the best! Love you!

Pano

Katy, this is my first visit to the blog in a while, but I have not forgotten about you. I'm delighted to know that you've finished the radiation. God bless you in your visit to Indy and in the traveling.

I know God will continued to be with you and to work through you as your treatment moves forward, in whatever fashion. I cannot tell you what a blessing you have been to me, despite our never having met. I'll continue to check back here.

Grace, mercy and peace be with you and your family,

Vicki Small

[a angels touch] Man when i was growing up i used to think that a angels touch was like getting hi or drinking a beer and i used to think that to even when i was comming here to the ministry but you see that all changed when i woke up one day and I came to the ministry one day for school and that angel wasnt there anymore and it made me sad inside . not just sad in my heart but in my mind because i had to wonder if the woman that sat at the desk was ever gonna comeback or not and iam thankfull to god everyday because god sentthe angel from heaven back to me and i still get to be blessed with her beauty and that is a blessing that no one can take from me and i thank god everyday for that.
