from Princess Fiona/Katy

It is hard to know were to begin. There are so many potential punch lines when you find yourself green (which consequently makes blonde hair look pink). Several nicknames have already been suggested Princess Fiona, Emerald Princess, Jolly Green Giant, and many more. Needless to say, this week has been quite eventful. I began my IV and chemo treaments on Monday feeling well, but finished looking slightly yellow and feeling sick. Tuesday I felt much better, turned greener faster, and then got a rash which is probably a reaction to one of the many medicines I am on. Wednesday and Thursday I continued to have a rash so I earned Friday off from the IV and chemo and will return on Monday to do my last treatment for this round. Most of Thursday and Friday I spent resting due to my large consumption of Benedryl. I am feeling much better today and am almost back to my normal color, so hopefully I will be able to finish this round and determine what I am allergic to. Thanks for praying!

All my love,
Katy

Katy,
You know what they say:
"It's not easy being green."
Sorry, just couldn't resist another COLORful cliche'.
Lisa sends her greetings!
We are finally situated in Santorini, and I've re-established connection with the outside world via the 'net & so can finally post your latest entry.
We enjoyed the picture. It's great to hear from you.
All our love,
Lisa & Chris

Dear Katy,

Actually, in the picture on my screen, you look kind of yellow...
Y'know, in Phoenix, in the summer, it's hard to find something green, so don't fret. And of course you are the princess.
I wondered how you were doing this past week. Thanks for the update. Am praying!
With love to you all,
Mother Miriam :)

Katy
No question about the princess part and my uncle Shamus O'Ratus says you are a beautiful leprechaun in his eyes! Never argue with an Irishmouse!

Hi Katy, The Jolly Green Giant is cute, friendly, and he has a job! Send him your photo? You never know. Seriously Honey, your Mom left a phone message while we were on vacation up north. I am glad you decided to take part in the treatment study. I hope and pray that it is not too uncomfortable and the results are great. Much love to all, Julia

Dear Katy,

Everything God has created which has soothed us the most is in the colour green.:) With all the green on you, your eyes still glow with the beautiful light He is emitting through you.

You go girl.

God be with you.

Dear Katy:
I think you can start a trend there in the southwest with the new tint of your skin. Think about it---Phoenix is quite trendy.
You are the most Positive Princess. Thank you for that. I am praying that the next few weeks bring you comfort and renewed strength.
We all continue to pray for you and your family. We are looking forward to seeing Amy soon.
Hugs to you and Rick and Patty.
God Bless You

Katy, I know that Aunt Sue called after we got back from the UK, but I have not checked in with you for a while. It is amazing that I am out of touch for a few weeks and you turn green.
Kremit the Frog became famous, has had a great TV and movie career and made a bundle being being green. Maybe this is your entre into showbiz.
One green name that didn't come up was The Incredible Hulk. I have always thought of you as hulkish-not really.
I don't know if Sue told you or your Mom that we left prayer requests for you while we were in the UK. We left them at Westminister Cathedral, Salisbury Cathederal and Bath Abbey. Each of the churches gathers dailey prayer requests and then includes them in their dailey services. So if you suddenly start speaking with an English accent or craving afternoon tea and scones you will know why.
We had a great time for two weeks with our oldest grandson Brian. But, it was a bit sobering to realize that we had been in one of the subway staions that was bombed about 8 days earlier.
Tell Amy that I need her e-mail address so that I can send her the recruiting spec.
Love,
Unlce Chuck

Dear Katy and family:

It was wonderful to see Amy and Rick when we went to the wedding and reception for Jennifer and Adam. The day could not have been more perfect: weather, and smooth sailing through the ceremony, and wonderful food at the reception! It's our turn next!

We continue to pray for all of you. Katy, I was so happy to hear that you had gone back to work, even though it was so tiring. It had to give you a wonderful lift. I am sure that the children were thrilled to see and be with you. Amy told me that they are trying to work out a schedule and placement that will be best for you so that you can still do what you do best, but not wear you out. They will do whatever it takes, without a doubt.

We love you, admire your courage, and pray for your recovery.

The Robertson's

.S. Since you are working with children, on your green days, read Veggie Tales to them! What a fabulous enhancement to the stories!

Hi, Katy.

Haven't heard anything new since this last update, so I'm curious as to how things are going right now.

Hope you are finding rest and peace in the midst of treatment.
